Privacy Policy

Introduction

To be GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), DPA (Data Protection Act) and PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) compliant I need to include this bit about how and why I collect your data, but the main thing about this change in the law is that this information has to be “concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible” – so lets keep this short and sweet shall we?!

What I Don’t Do With Your Data

Basically I run a teeny tiny business all by myself and I simply do not have time to be a dick with your data. I have no interest in being a dick with your data. I wouldn’t know how to be a dick with your data even if I wanted to…

I currently do not add you to any mailing lists, I do not spam you with any marketing emails, offers, or newsletters I do not track or stalk your every movement via my site OR social media and I do not advertise online so I don’t collect your info this way either. I don’t even have cookies on my website. So there.

I don’t take your bank or card details.

The Information I Do Collect

In order for you to enquire about my services, for me to answer your questions and ultimately for you to book me, I need the following information from you: Your name(s), your email address(es), Your phone number (for on the day/emergencies only, I hate talking on the phone) Your address (so I can make your invoice all official like and you know, actually turn up to your shoot. I only take this once you are officially booking me.) The date, address and timings of the event/shoot. Your electronic signature.

How Do I Store Your Data

I store the information you send me in a password protected, GDPR compliant client management system and all contracts, invoices and information about your day are stored here too, as well as storing your details in my password protected email inbox.

As well as the data listed above, in order to create and deliver photographic services it is necessary that I store images of your likeness, both of yourselves and, in the case of weddings, of your families and guests, as both jpg and RAW files on secure external hard drives and a password protected GDPR compliant online gallery (that you will have access to). Your images are stored separately from your full names and other data, and the two are never associated.

How, Why and Where Do I Share Images?

In order to continue to work as a photographer it is necessary for me to share my portfolio with potential future clients. Therefore, your images may be shared on my website, my social media channels, in marketing materials or on a third party blog/website (you will be asked for your consent before this happens). As per our contract, I retain copyright of the images I make.

Mailing Lists

You will not be added to any mailing lists in the future, including any special offers, unless you specifically opt in.

Right to Access

You are able to request all data that Libby Christensen Photography holds about you.

Right to Be Forgotten

You have the right to withdraw your consent to have your data stored at any time. If you choose to do this, please email me: libby@libbychristensen.co.uk

Conclusion

In short, I only collect the information I absolutely need in order to do the thing you are paying me to do. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
